Dimensions: 10 x 10 x 1
Artist's Statement about this work: Trees in bloom outside of my dining room window always announce the arrival of spring. On this day, a finch accompanied the blossoms. It provided a beautiful and musical announcement, and was so welcome after the winter months. The finch seemed to promise that the spring blossoms about to burst held the promise of upcoming summer fun. I felt compelled to paint my visitor on the blossoming branch in order to remember the feelings of optimism that he brought.
